Privacy Policy

This policy explains what PrintSocket, operated by [LEGAL ENTITY], collects, why, and what we do with it. It covers both this website and the API and dashboard.
What we collect
- Account data. Your email address, the account name you choose, and your membership in accounts. We have no passwords to store — signing in is a link sent to your email.

Print data. The documents and raw payloads you send, plus job metadata:
printer, title, options, status transitions, and any
metadatayou attach. - Device data. For each machine running the agent: a name, operating system, agent version, connection state, and the printers and scales it reports, with their capabilities.
- Billing data. Your plan, monthly usage counts, and the Stripe customer and subscription identifiers. Card details go to Stripe directly and never reach our servers.
- Operational data. Request logs, error reports, and metrics — used to keep the Service running and to debug failures.
What we do with it
We use this data to deliver print jobs to your printers, to authenticate you, to bill you, to enforce plan limits, and to operate and secure the Service. We send you transactional email: sign-in links, a notice when you cross 80% of your monthly job limit, and billing notifications. We do not sell your data, and we do not use your print content for anything other than delivering it.
Where it lives
We use a small number of processors, each for one job:

Data is processed in the United States. If you are in the EEA or UK, transfers rely on standard contractual clauses with these processors.
How long we keep it

Job payloads are deleted when the job expires — 24 hours by default, or the
expire_after_secondsyou set. - Uploaded documents are kept until you delete them.
- Job records (metadata and status history, without payloads) are kept while your account is active, for your own audit and support.
- Account and billing records are kept while your account is active and for as long afterward as tax and accounting law requires.
- Operational logs are kept for a short retention window, then discarded.
When you delete your account, we delete your data other than what we must keep by law.
Security
Traffic to the API, the dashboard, and this site is encrypted in transit. API keys are stored hashed, shown once at creation, and can be revoked instantly. Agents connect outbound and authenticate with a per-device credential; your account API keys never go onto a customer machine. Access to production data is limited to those who need it to run the Service.
Cookies
This marketing site sets no cookies and runs no analytics or third-party scripts. The dashboard sets one cookie: your session. There is no advertising or tracking anywhere on the Service.
Your rights
You can access, export, correct, or delete your data — most of it directly in the dashboard, and the rest by asking us. Depending on where you live you may also have the right to object to or restrict processing, and to complain to your data protection authority. Email privacy@printsocket.com and we will respond within 30 days.
Children
The Service is not directed at children and is not intended for anyone under 18.
Changes
If we change this policy materially, we will email account owners before the change takes effect. The date at the top always reflects the current version.
